Solution as a Service covers all aspects of the project and is designed specifically to avoid the usual up front capital costs that would otherwise be due at the start of any such project. Maintenance is included within the costs and therefore comes at a fixed price for the duration of the contract. One of the additional benefits of Solution as a Service is that it provides the ability to precisely forecast the costs of the solution over the contract life.

It is possible to upgrade a Solution as a Service contract to include additional items that were not part of the original procurement.

Solution as a Service functions as a fixed term rental scheme where the non-transference of assets can assist in making this method of finance appear as an off balance sheet procurement.
